Drip, drop, drip, drops of metalic liquid spread out as they hit the pool of water going from a deep maroon to a lighter blood red. A salty taste lingered in my mouth as i licked clean the wound on my chest. I could feel the blood form a puddle on my tongue as the drops hit the water. The wound was from my latest fight. These events were not uncommon in my life, and I liked the feel of the the blood caked on my fur. it was refreshing. It left me with adrenaline pumping in my veins as it spilled over my skin. It was not a bad wound, not as bad as it looked. But the metalic liquid was there. As it dried it blended more and more into my blood hued coat. The darker above layers of my mane dripped like blood onto the lighter under layers.
The strands stuck to my neck. The humidity in my mane left the hair clinging to my neck even as I swung my head around. Wisps of hair clung to my rump as I swished my tail back and forth. Blood rand down my leg layering blood on my hoof as the metalic liquid pooled at my feet. It was more blood then I expected. Maybe too much. But I did not mind. It was not the first time I lost this much blood, and I was sure that it would not be the last. The world felt like it was starting to rotate slowly around me leaving me feeling dazed and confused. I reared up lashing out at an invisible atacker. I was lost. A diluted mixture of blood and water splashed into the air clinging to my legs.
I shied away from the bloody pool confused at the feeling engulfing my mind. Hazing my thought from clarity. I tossed my head into the air trying to shake the invisible monster from it's grip on me, but I couldn't. I went on thrashing at his try to break free. I collapsed on the ground rolling on my back trying to pull away, but I couldn't. It had it's claws embedded in my side. I tried as hard as I might to break free from it's clutch, but I couldn't. It wouldn't let go of me. I didn't understand it. What was this grabbing me around my throat? What could be so strong that even I could not break it's grasp?
My efforts to shake free from this nonexistant beast left me parched. As the crystal liquid slithered down my throat I could feel my sense slowly returning to me. Once again I could see clearly the landscape around me. My hooves felt planted firmly on the ground. Rearing up I let out a triumphant neigh, a challenge. No one could beat me. Not even those I could not see.

Tequila slipped into the bushes, her senses alert. The snow chrunched softly on the ground, getting stuck in her hooves. The air was cool tonight, and the forest was still, sleeping. Tequila lifted her head into the air, her mane flinging droplets of water around. Taking in the smells she quirked her head. A horse...
Moving more quickly Tequila strode through the forest, taking nothing, only leaving behind footprints. Nearing the lake Tequila slowed. Smelling the air her nose picked up a new scent. Blood. The words ran down her spine, scattering shivers everywhere.
Getting closer her black orbs spotted a horse with a blood hued coat, barely visible in the darkness. She watched silently as the beast reared up, his voice penetrating the air around them. Cooing softly Tequila spoke; Why waste your energy on an empty audience? She asked, her voice rippling softly in the air. Smiling to herself she looked around, just to make sure they were alone.
