Spotted mare in all her glory, bowing to the moon, bowing to the stars sending out a prayer to the heavens. May the gods spare her an ear, her eternal grace shall be given, for a loved one was in agony, and with every agonizing foot-fall the stallion made, the fae's heart crippled and shuddered in remorse. There was so little she could do but hope upon all hope that he would be able to finish the journey to their intended resting place, for there he could close his eyes without worry and allow his wounds to heal. Ataria suddenly became aware that he was in far too much pain to answer her, and quickly felt stupid for inclining his speech. She rushed over to him, letting him rest against her warm body for support as he hobbled dangerously un-balanced to the waters' edge. It didn't take much to realize the amount of pain gushing water against an open wound must inflict, for a large quantity of it was written plainly across Elegances' tortured expression. Although, there was a hint of relief there too, suggesting that despite the obvious pain it caused him, it was for the better.
Nuzzling his withers and whickering softly, Ataria posed to give Ance some kind of comfort. She had no way of knowing whether this did him any good, but she could do nothing less. She did not leave his side as he limped back up to the illuminated clearing, and even fell to her knees in sync with the crippled stallion, resting her head upon his thick nape. Gazing up at the beautiful array of twinkling stars, Ataria sent out another silent prayer that Elegance would at least recover from this; if not now, later. Her heart ached with compunction and remorse and for a moment, she noticed the life-aroma begin to wane from the beautiful stallions' corpse. Hidden from any wake soul, tears began to well in her eyes, falling silently down the length of her cheek-bones and dripping to the lush terra-firma. Her mother had once told her that when horses slept soundly, their life-aroma was harder to detect, but for that moment, it was too much of an alarm bell for her to think that rationally.
When Ance suddenly flickered back to life and was up on his toes in an instant, Ataria felt the wind knock out of her. Gazing up at the magnificent bay beast, she felt a deep sense of relief and admiration for him. Her prayer had been answered. Barely a second later, Elegance was thundering away into the darkness, and after getting a hold on herself, the lovesick mare was hot on his heels. Letting a shrill whinny break the chilled atmosphere, she was greeted with its echo and hardly recognized it to have come from her own vocals. She had never heard something so absolute, so free, so full of life. Snuffing at Ance's dancing forelock, she quickly over-took him and gently steered them in a more Westerly direction.

White steam came out of his nostrils at every stride. What was green bush and grass was now black, the sky was blue and now black. He galloped close behind Ataria, Her spotted rump shinning and sparkling in the light of the moon. The pain in his foot was now gone, his eyes stuck to the track they were following.
They came to a small cave. It was dark inside and not very welcoming. It echoed with every step Ance took, the eacoing bouncing off the walls making a musical of foot steps. When he got to a soft flat spot in the cave, he lay down, carefully trying not to hit Ataria in the small cave.
He gave her a soft whinny, just to check she was alright. He jumped at the echoing sound of his voice.
Outside the moon shone onto the small puddle surrounding a nest of ducks eggs, he looked up to the moon. He couldn't help but let out a whinny of fear. A tear trickled down his cheek and splashed onto the ground. He closed his eyes. Then suddenly opened his eyes with a gasp, he looked over at Ataria. "I just saw a vision of what to come."

The elegant mare engulfed the terrain with her vast strides, eating the ground away as it fled behind her, cowering from her strength. She laughed against the wind, listening to it whisk away into the night from somebody else to discover. By then, she would be long gone. Their rhythmic drumming was muffled by the soft terrain and deep craters scarred the earth as the powerful flints kissed the land they were physically bound to. The cave Ataria had been visualizing in her mind suddenly came into view and her ears pricked, her gait buckled and a shrill snort broke loose of her paper thins. The change was dramatic as their dull foot-falls suddenly amped up and became a deafening 'clop', dancing around the cave walls enclosing them.
One ear traced her companions every move, while the other listened for any danger outside - her eyes were never in one place for very long. Ataria heard the gentle thud as Elegance lay down on a softer part of the small cave, she gave him a warm smile of approval. She herself refused to sleep and simply stood at the mouth of the small dome, keeping look-out. In the past, horses had done this for her her entire life, now it was her turn. She was just settling down after her initial adrenaline when she heard Ance startle and his scent almost tasted like fear. What could he possibly see that she couldn't? Quick as a flash she spun on her hind-quarters, ready to stare in the face of danger, but instead was looking down or a rather disorientated stallion who looked like he'd just seen a ghost. Before she could ask, he answered her unspoken question: "I just saw a vision of what to come." By the sound of his voice, there was no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, this was bad news.
Immediately jumping to conclusions the idea that Ance had become delusional lingered in her mind once or twice, and as crushing to her as that sounded, there was no denying its possibility. She threw him a puzzled look, but tried to look comforting. She had to at least let him think she believed him before she assumed anything more. "What exactly have you seen, my love?" she was good at this, years of listening to her people had evolved a beautiful skill of understanding and optimism. A part of her genuinely believed that he had just foreseen something of their future, but she was skeptical. [/sub]

His breathing increased and his nostrils flared. "What exactly have you seen, my love?" The word lingered in his head. The vision stayed in his mind, he couldn't help but stare at Ataria. He closed his eyes...
Spotted hide wiped, the pare separated. Crying whinny's filled the valley over the load cracks of whip's and ropes around horses necks. the blood dripping down her leg and staining the white hair.
Then silence... nothing just a horse standing bashes and bleeding. Whip marks across the hide. Dust covering the face. Head low, ribs stocking out. Trapped inside a steel yard. No food No water.
And then another a lot like himself. Standing a few yards away, the same markings across the body.
He flashed his eyes open. "The Vision... I saw it again." "What should i do? Its scaring me."
The tops of the trees leaves lit up from the suns rays making its way above the distant mountains.
He waited for a response. He couldn't dare close his eyes again.
