Alice awoke. Where am I were her first thoughts. Then she remembered. She was on the train to a small town called Tee-Tree Lake where she was going to spend a less hectic life, riding her horse. She watched the scenery fly by as the train rumbled on. About a half hour later the train rolled to a stop. She grabbed her bags and stood up.
Alice walked off of the train to be immediatly blinded by the sun. In Alaska the sun had been just as feirce but it had been colder. She walked over to the box where Amoure was, anxious to start riding him. She opened his box, halter and lead rope in hand. She smiled broadly at him. he didn't look to battered up from the trip but he was sweating buckets.
******
Amoure looked around his stall. It was dark, really dark which he hated. He bucked a few times, letting his extra energy go. Deciding that he might aswell get some rest before getting out of this place he layed down and went to sleep.
When Amoure awoke it was a few hours later. His stomach growled and he stood up. He walked over to his water trough, hay and oats. He started munching the hay eagerly. When he had finished most of his hay he took a long drink. Mmm, that feels so good! He sighed contently as the cool water slid down his throat. The box he was in was still dark and he heard the rumbling noise of this long trailer moving.
Amoure paced around his stall untill the rumbling stopped. At this he stood stock still, his thoughts blinding him. Where was he? Were there other horses there? Was this another meat auction? No, Alice wouldn't send him 12 hours to a meat auction. Was Alice going to be there? Thoughts like this flooded his brain untill sunlight burst into his stall. When his eyes got used to the light he saw Alice. He let out his breath. She looked happy and had his halter and lead rope in her hand.
